Our team of retreat facilitators have been leading adolescent and adult retreats for almost fifteen years. Retreats are tailored to the individual needs of the group, from theme through to content. We seek to provide the space for young people to connect with their spiritual life in meaningful ways—in a manner that honours your school’s ethos. Our head of retreats is a qualified RE teacher and guidance counsellor who has worked as a chaplain and pastoral coordinator in a number of schools and universities. Excellent reviews and references available from previous school retreats.
- individual reflection, pair work and group work
- video clips and extracts from TED talks
- a contemplative and/or mindful aspect to the day
- references to Scripture, particularly the gospels
We tailor retreats to the postmodern students of Generation Y and Generation Z, who are often in need of time out from their socially conscious, tech-savvy lives. Without a doubt, RE teachers, chaplains, and the pastoral care team have the greatest impact on the spiritual lives of their students, but moving out of the classroom can act as the catalyst to enable deeper growth in a young person’s journey.
Below are just some of the many schools where Conexus Educate has led retreats:
- Belvedere College SJ
- Loreto College, St. Stephen's Green
- Muckross Park College
- Mount Anville
- Laurel Hill, Limerick
- St. Conleth's College
Retreats can be run on-site at the school, in local retreat centers, or outdoor venues (such as Glendalough).
